With two mandates, Accord Advertising forays deep into the airport branding space, plans to acquire airport media in other states

Accord Advertising has bagged the exclusive advertising rights at the Bagdogra International Airport for a period of ten years with effect from December 1, 2017. The OOH firm will put up both backlit static media as well as digital signages.

Accord Advertising will primarily target brands in the PSU, banking, insurance, oil, telecom, automobile, FMCG, beverage, travel & tourism, app-based cab hailing service, e-commerce and logistics sectors to advertise at the airport, as also conduct brand activation programmes.

Sudeep Satya Ganguly of Accord Advertising, Kolkata said, “Innovations will happen in the second part of next year. We want to put up signages and wait for a year to receive client feedback. We have observed that 95% of the revenues come from airport signages and 25% from campaigns at the airports. The advertising signage space at the Bagdogra airport adds up to 2,571 sq. m. We have the option of increasing the space outside by offering kiosks and security posts for branding.”

Accord Advertising has also won the exclusive ad rights on some 1,000 baggage trolleys at the domestic and international terminals of Goa International Airport at Dabolim for a period of three years. The target brands for advertising on this media will likely come from travel & tourism, hospitality, banks, and PSU sectors, as also casinos.

Accord Advertising is expecting to see 10-15% growth in the current financial year on the back of these media acquisitions. The firm is also planning for airport media acquisitions in Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand, among other states. “Come 2018, we will be upgrading and improving both our digital media assets at the airports and traditional outdoor formats,” said Ganguly.
