Election stalls clearance of new B’lore advertisement bylaws
Date for next court hearing of case not finalized yet
Karnataka High Court, hearing PIL on the bylaws Outdoor Signage and Public Messaging 2018, has been stalled currently. The next court hearing date has not been finalised. It has been reliably learnt that the final decision on the bylaws will come through after the general elections are held.
Earlier, the State Government held approval of the new bylaws to seek more clarity on issues like GST levy on outdoor advertising. The outdoor industry operating on large formats are hoping to get back into the trade sooner than later as they feel that it is their fundamental rights to continue the trade.
