No takers for Ranchi bqs contract; site locations, security of assets cited as concerns
Media owners seemingly stay away from the tender over concerns on security of bqs assets and site placements
The BQS tender floated by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation for replacing the existing bus shelters with new stainless steel bus shelters in lieu of advertising rights has failed to elicit any response from the media owners.
As per industry sources, media owners have stayed away from the tender over concerns on security of bqs assets and site placements. They cited visibility issues with regard to the sites. Moreover, as the bqs assets would have come under the jurisdiction of multiple departments, the media owners felt the security and tenure of the contracts may be affected in the future.
Apart from BQS, the city offers billboards and unipole media for advertising.
