Jalandhar MC to float e-tenders for massive number of sites
Bids will be for large and small unipoles, LED/LCD screens, gantries, rooftop utilities media, BQS, etc., at 3,127 sites
Municipal Corporation Jalandhar is reportedly planning e-tenders for creating 3,127 sites across the city. The sites will have unipoles and other formats on design-build-operate-maintain-transfer basis for a period of seven years. The reserve price for the auction, which will be done as per the outdoor media policy, has been fixed at Rs 18.15 crore per annum.
The Tribune has reported that the 3,127 sites will include 108 small unipoles of 20’X10’ size, seven big unipoles of 30’X15’ size, 50 LED/LCD, 17 gantries, 16 over rooftop utilities, 56 garbage dump sites, 476 dustbins, 100 benches, 2,100 kiosks on unipoles, 150 flyover pillars and 47 BQS to be used for advertising.
The bidding will open on January 18. Companies participating in the bidding process should each have had at least Rs 5 crore turnover for each of the past three financial years and three years of experience in running the outdoor advertising business.
