Laqshya Media Group unit extends Dubai BQS contract

Laqshya Media Group’s subsidiary Right Angle Media has extended contract with the Road and Transport Authority in Dubai of air-conditioned bus queue shelters for another 9 years from 2021 to 2030.  The company had acquired the rights way back in 2006 to build exclusive BQSs.

Right Angle Media also plans to add vending machines to the bus shelters that will provide additional advertising space for their clientele. The design being used for the shelters is called “The Crescent. It is a modern design that is in sync with the rapidly evolving urban landscape in Dubai. With a stainless steel body and well lit interiors, the Dubai bus queue shelters are now known as a design marvel.

Talking about the extension, Alok Jalan, Managing Director, Laqshya Media Group, said, “Bagging the bus queue shelter contract was a big milestone for us because it put Laqshya on the global map. We are thrilled that the contract has now been extended because it offers us the opportunity to innovate and redefine the way OOH advertising works in more developed economies like Dubai. Over the next few years, our plan is to look at ways to create greater value offerings to our clientele and create assets that enhance the city infrastructure in Dubai. Going forward, we also plan to explore markets with promising potential particularly those in the Middle East.
