Punjab Govt relaxes norms for outdoor media rights
The number of unipole units has been raised from 300 to 450 to be installed at 562 locations and the number of gantries has been increased to 15
After the recent pre-bid meeting, the local government of Punjab has made certain changes in the tender document to address the issues raised by the media owners. The government has increased the number of unipole units from 300 to 450 to be installed at 562 locations and the number of gantries has been increased to 15.
Also, the technical bid eligibility criterion has been relaxed to attract more bidders to participate in the tendering process. Earlier, a successful bidder was supposed to submit bank guarantee equal to the amount bidded for one year, whereas now it has been amended and the successful bidder will have to submit a bank guarantee of the amount equal to three months of the amount bidded. In the case of a firm/company, which does not have an experience in the field of advertisement, it will submit bank guarantee of six months of the amount bidded.
