The hearing, chaired by the Honorable Deputy Municipal Commissioner (Special), will be held in the Conference Hall of the Penguin Building at Jijamata Udyan, Byculla. The session is scheduled to run from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
This hearing marks a significant step in the process of finalizing the guidelines that will shape the regulation of advertisements across the city in the coming year. The BMC has emphasized the importance of hearing diverse perspectives on the draft policy and has urged all concerned parties to attend the session at their designated time slots, which have been outlined in the attached schedule shared with stakeholders.
The Draft Policy Guidelines for Advertisements, 2024, aim to create a balanced framework for outdoor advertising that takes into account aesthetic considerations, public safety, and regulatory standards. By incorporating input from industry representatives, the policy seeks to ensure that advertising practices remain innovative while adhering to legal and social norms.
Stakeholders are expected to present their viewpoints, including suggestions for improvements or objections to specific aspects of the draft. This open consultation process is designed to foster dialogue between the municipal authorities and the outdoor advertising community, ultimately leading to a policy that addresses the needs and concerns of all parties involved.
