HC directs BBMP to submit report on ad policy bye-laws
BBMP seeks more time to file report on response to the petition on revenue loss
The Karnataka High Court in its hearing on December 12 asked the BBMP counsel if the suggestions that came through in the public hearing with regard to the bye-laws relating to the ad policy have been duly incorporated. The BBMP counsel said the suggestions are being collated and sought more time to file the report with the court.
With regard to response to a petition on the revenue loss incurred by an OOH firm following the blanket ban on hoardings in the city, the BBMP counsel submitted that the issue has not been addressed yet, to which the Court directed the urban local body to file the response latest by December 15, 2018.
The Court indicated that it would expect to hear a summary of all arguments by counsels on both sides on the next date of hearing. The matter has been adjourned to December 17, 2018.
