Hindustan Publicity augments SDMC’s new street furniture, public conveniences
The company holds the advertising rights for 7-year duration
Hindustan Publicity, a leading OOH media owning firm in Delhi, having won the advertising rights for 7 years on a new class of street furniture and public conveniences in the South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) jurisdiction, has pro-actively contributed to augmenting the aesthetics of the said properties. The company has created vertical gardens on the advertisement format poles and laid artificial grass on the floors of the toilets. Commenting on this, Ritesh Vasudeva, CEO, Hindustan Publicity said, “The idea was to go beyond maintaining the facilities and keep the beautification quotient high”.
The value-addition has placed an additional cost burden on the media owning firm which they expect to recoup from the advertising revenues. “We hope that these high-end public utilities attract good number of brands,” said Ritesh. The company is providing display space on the walls of public toilets and 12ftx6ft backlit MUPIs which have been allotted to them by SDMC in lieu of maintaining the street furniture.
The new street furniture includes benches, dustbins and police booths, all reconstructed with stainless material and the public toilets are all women-friendly, child-friendly, elderly-friendly and ease to use by physically challenged people. These toilets also offer facilities such as sanitary padse. The street facilities are available at Lodhi Road, Lala Lajpat Rai Marg, GK-1 and Hans Raj Gupta Marg.
