Floating billboards take OOH into new territories
Miami-based Ballyhoo Media makes the most of audiences at beaches and riverfronts
Even as the jury is out on whether the large floating billboards interrupt of the onlookers’ view of scenic places like the Miami Beach in the US, innovative OOH firm Ballyhoo Media has carved a place for itself with its unique floating billboards put up on boats and barges that float or move along the rivers and close to the beaches.
Reports say these floating billboards catch the eye of New Yorkers jogging along the Hudson River or resting on a Brooklyn bench.
Miami Herald reports that Ballyhoo Media has plans to expand to new cities and add special events, such as a Miami beachfront screening of “Jaws” this summer during Discovery Channel’s Shark Week.
