Outdoor norms relaxed for promotion of UP Investors Summit 2018
Industry sees the relaxation as a temporary step, uncertain about how the tide will change for OOH business in the city of Lucknow
The civic authorities in Lucknow have temporarily taken the foot off the pedal in the drive against OOH displays in the city to facilitate the promotion of the UP Investors Summit 2018 that is being organised during February 21-22. The Summit will see the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, senior Union Ministers, UP state ministers and officials, and captains of industry.
Outdoor media owners commenting on the current situation told Media4Growth that the relaxation of curbs on the industry is only temporary in nature. The issue surrounding the intervention of the Lucknow Authority Development (LDA) with regard to removal of outdoor sites is pending Court decision.
