BMTC keeping out vinyl sticker ads on bus glass panels
The bus transport body is phasing out advertising on the glass panels owing to complaints from passengers, sees significant non-fare revenue loss
Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) has maintained that its buses will not feature vinyl sticker advertisements on the side glass panels. Commuters had some time ago launched a social media campaign suggesting that the advertising stickers on the glass panels reduced the visibility from the inside of the buses. As per a Times of India report this move would reduce BMTC’s non-fare revenues by about Rs 13 crore a year.
