SDMC invites bids for ad rights on toilet blocks, unipoles
Individual unipoles in west, south and central zones and unipole clusters in Najafgarh, south and central zones are part of the tender
In a recently-issued cluster-based tender, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) has called for bids for advertising rights on existing toilet blocks and certain unipoles in all clusters. Individual unipoles in west, south and central zones and unipole clusters in Najafgarh, south and central zones are part of the tender. Advertising rights on existing toilet blocks will also be awarded along with maintenance, as per the tender notification. The rights will be given for three years, extendable by another two years.
“The cluster-based approach by MCD gives benefits to the bidders. They can bid for all clusters and one or more unipoles as per their financial capabilities. SDMC has already achieved stupendous growth in revenues through outdoor advertising. We strongly believe that in the coming years toilet blocks will be a major part of that growth story. SDMC has already planned to build more than 100 toilet blocks,” an official from SDMC stated.
