Traya Health uses a 7-ft hair-filled cube to start a conversation on hair fall
The activation unfolded at Mumbai’s Bandra Bandstand promenade.
Hair fall is usually something people notice when they see strands on a pillow, hair in the shower drain or a ponytail that feels thinner than before. Traya Health has now turned that everyday concern into a large-scale outdoor visual to make the problem harder to ignore.
Traya Health, a holistic hair fall solution platform, hosted an interactive on-ground activation at Bandra Bandstand promenade, Mumbai, to focus on excessive hair shedding and progressive hair thinning among women.
At the centre of the campaign was a 7-foot-tall clear transparent cube filled with a massive volume of hair strands. While losing 50 to 100 strands of hair a day is considered part of the natural hair cycle, excessive shedding, often reaching 300+ strands daily, accumulates to over 109,500 strands lost in a single year. The visually arresting installation brought this invisible, gradual loss to life, conveying a clear message that hair fall is easy to ignore. Until it isn’t.

For many women, hair thinning starts with small changes, like more hair in the shower drain or a gradually widening parting. Since these changes happen gradually, they are often attributed to temporary factors such as stress, weather, hard water or a hectic routine.
The activation used this everyday behaviour as its starting point, encouraging women to pay attention to these early signs rather than wait for hair loss to become more visible. To help visitors understand their hair health without the guesswork, Traya provided a scalp scan, a free hair test, and a one-on-one consultation.

Speaking on the initiative, Saloni Anand, Co-founder of Traya Health, said, “Women often notice subtle changes in their hair volume or shedding patterns, but rarely know when to pay closer attention or where to seek help. Hair thinning in women is complex and deeply connected to internal health, from stress and nutritional gaps to hormonal conditions like PCOS. At Traya, we believe every woman’s hair journey is unique, and real progress starts with understanding individual root causes. Through this activation at Bandra Bandstand, our goal was to make a quiet, everyday struggle visible and empower women to take that confident first step toward better hair health.”
The Bandra Bandstand installation therefore worked beyond a conventional brand display by using a familiar public space and a physical representation to turn an overlooked concern into a public conversation.
