Flipkart turns ‘GRWM’ into ‘Garam Garam’ with a fiery 3D billboard activation
While GRWM is widely recognised across social media as shorthand for Get Ready With Me, Flipkart gave the phrase its own spin for the Garam Garam Sale, positioning it as a destination for the hottest fashion deals.
Flipkart brought a playful cultural twist to its latest fashion sale campaign by reimagining the popular acronym GRWM as “Garam Garam”, creating a larger-than-life outdoor activation designed to stop traffic and spark conversations.
While GRWM is widely recognised across social media as shorthand for Get Ready With Me, Flipkart gave the phrase its own spin for the GRWM GRWM Sale, positioning it as a destination for the hottest fashion deals. To amplify the idea, the brand deployed a dramatic 3D billboard complete with smoke effects and glowing fiery visuals, bringing the concept of “garam garam deals” to life.
The installation transformed a conventional billboard into an immersive spectacle. Smoke continuously billowed from the structure while illuminated elements created the illusion of heat emerging directly from the creative. The execution reinforced the campaign message that the sale was packed with fashion offers that were quite literally “on fire.”
By taking a familiar Gen Z acronym and giving it an unexpected retail interpretation, Flipkart created a campaign that felt instantly recognisable yet surprising. The creative used cultural familiarity to grab attention, while the physical effects ensured the message translated effectively in the outdoor environment.
