BBMP ad policy likely to submitted by Aug 31
BBMP will submit its advertisement policy by August 31 after finalising it by August 23 and getting necessary clearance from the state government
The Karnataka High Court was informed in the course of a hearing on the matter of illegal hoardings that the Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) will submit its advertisement policy by August 31 after finalising it by August 23 and getting necessary clearance from the state government.
Meanwhile, the media owners are making available documents that support the authorisation of their respective media. All unauthorised hoardings structures are to be brought down by the month-end.
It is widely reported that BBMP Commissioner N Manjunath Prasad was at the receiving end of the High Court’s fury on Monday for giving an impression that the removal of unauthorised hoardings was based on the directives of the court instead of as part of his duties.
