The rights are for putting up media on some 80 piers
Enkon has acquired the media rights on Kolkata Metro civil structures. This is a new OOH media format that has been created on the Metro network, covering an important stretch of Diamond Harbor Road, between Taratolla Junction and Behala Chowrastha. The company is planning to build aesthetically designed, LED backlit signages of 12ft x 8ft on both sides of approximately 80 piers. The rights have been awarded for a 3-year period.
Commenting on this acquisition, Aninda Banerjee, MD, Enkon Pvt Ltd shared, “It is a significant achievement as the Kolkata Metro is the oldest metro in the country. With on-ground expansion, the civil structure media has been created for the first time, providing a new strategic sites for the brands to advertise.”
Aninda believes this format will give strong competition to the roadside media. The firm is looking out for top-rung fabrication options, from within the country or the overseas.
