Nancy Fletcher to bow out of OAAA in end-2019
She has been with the association since 1991
The Out of Home Advertising Association of America (OAAA) has announced that Nancy Fletcher, one of its longest-serving leaders, will step down as president and CEO at the end of 2019, after leading the association for nearly three decades.
Reports point out that during Nancy’s tenure at OAAA, the US OOH advertising industry tripled revenues, underwent an unprecedented digital transformation, and transformed its image with advertisers and the public. Fletcher helped guide the successful rollout of digital billboards, the growth of OOH formats beyond billboards, and the synergistic connection between OOH advertising and online, mobile, and social media. While other traditional media have contracted, OOH advertising has grown, posting gains in each of the last 34 consecutive quarters.
OAAA is the national trade association for the $7.8 billion US OOH industry, which includes DOOH, and is comprised of billboards, street furniture, transit advertising, and place-based media. The association is comprised of 800+ member media companies, advertisers, agencies, ad-tech providers, and suppliers that represent over 90 percent of the industry.
