Transfer of BMC’s Nidhi Choudhari may further delay OOH policy implementation
The Ex- Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has been transferred following a twitter controversy
Nidhi Choudhari, Ex- Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), has been transferred to the Water Sanitation Department as Deputy Secretary. Choudhari was instrumental in drafting the Mumbai Outdoor Advertising Policy which is pending with BMC Commissioner for the final nod. The new move can further delay the implementation of the policy as no other official has been hired to fill her position. The new outdoor advertising policy draft was unveiled in January this year.
The transfer reportedly took place after a controversial tweet by the IAS officer from her personal twitter handle on Mahatma Gandhi, which was later deleted by her.
