Punjab outdoor advertising policy to be unveiled soon
The state government is planning to increase ad tax revenues several fold; Minister Navjot Singh Sidhu expects that the city of Ludhiana alone will yield ad tax revenues of Rs 100 crore
Punjab minister Navjot Singh Sidhu is expeditiously working on a comprehensive plan to transform all the cities and towns of the state. The plan has been chalked out and necessary funds were being arranged and released for development of cities, he shared.
OOH advertising which is pegged as one of the major revenues sources for the state government is being closely studied by the minister. He has told media that that a target of generating Rs 500 crore ad tax revenues has been set as per the outdoor advertising and parking policy that is being drafted now.
He said that Ludhiana alone has the capability to generate income of Rs 100 crore.
Currently the outdoor tenders and projects have been put on hold until the new outdoor advertising policy comes into the act.
