IOAA reaffirms strong action against illegal OOH media
The Association will set up a Legal Cell
Further to the successful legal action in Delhi against illegal outdoor media and the successful intervention in Bengaluru where the entire industry was being threatened with arbitrary action, the IOAA has decided to further intensify its fight against illegal OOH media across the country. This was reaffirmed at the Meeting of the Board of Governors of Indian Outdoor Advertising Association (IOAA) held in Mumbai on June 16.
The IOAA Board observed that the practice of installing illegal media and pursuing business using those has caused immense harm to the industry, with legitimate businesses and IOAA members suffering the most. Besides, it has brought disrepute to the entire industry. Hence, the Board has resolved not to spare any efforts to root out illegal media. Action against illegal OOH media will be one of IOAA’s major objectives though the year. Toward this, IOAA is also setting up a Legal Cell.
