Flex may not be immediately impacted by Maharashtra Govt ban on plastics
Empowered Committee has been tasked to examine whether the ban should also apply on the manufacture and use of flex boards, banners, flags & other items
Even as the Maharashtra state Cabinet has approved the state environment department proposal to ban the manufacture and use of plastic bags, an empowered committee under the state Environment Minister Ramdas Kadam has been formed to consider whether other items as given in the draft of the proposed ban are to be also banned. The other items included flex boards, banners, flags, decorative door hangings, plastic sheets and all types of plastic wrappers, among others.
