DOAA saves media owners from property tax
DOAA achieves landmark success by cancelling the property tax applicable for outdoor media format such as hoardings and building wraps.
The ongoing battle between MCD and DOAA with regards to property tax has come to an end. The Honorable High-court, Delhi announced the decision in favor of DOAA and Delhi based media owners by cancelling the property tax applied on different formats like hoardings, building wraps and etc by MCD. The necessary orders have been passed by the Court today in Civil Writ no. 678/2013.
The issue started when MCD filed notices to the media owners asking for handsome money in the form of Property Tax. However, DOAA and media owners denied of paying this as they are already paying to MCD under advertisement rights and monthly property rent.
