Vodafone created a unique opportunity for 22 kids to enter the Chinnaswamy Stadium cricket field hand-in-hand with the cricketers who were to play the IPL 7 finals on June 1. The telecom service provider had tied up with Magic Bus NGO to run the contest. This activity was part of Vodafone’s Superfan Junior contest.

Commenting on the initiative, Ronita Mitra, Senior Vice President – Brand Communications and Insights, Vodafone India said, “Vodafone’s long association with IPL has proven to be an invaluable asset in building a closer connects with our customers. The popular Vodafone Super Fan contest has become a much aspired for title for our customers across the country.

“Given Vodafone’s commitment towards the betterment of society, this year we decided to make the Vodafone Super Fan Junior platform one where we could extend the dream come true experience to kids who would ordinarily not have an opportunity to watch a cricket match live. To make this endeavour a reality, we were delighted to partner with NGO Magic Bus that has been doing some great work in addressing key social development issues through sports, said Mitra.
