Ashish Mishra joins Zee Entertainment as Chief Marketing Officer

Ashish will report to Punit Goenka, CEO, Zee Entertainment, and will oversee the company’s marketing and brand agenda

Zee Entertainment Enterprises has appointed Ashish Mishra as Chief Marketing Officer, strengthening its marketing leadership as the company continues to drive its brand and consumer agenda across its businesses.

Based at Zee’s Mumbai headquarters, Ashish will report to Punit Goenka, CEO, Zee Entertainment, and will oversee the company’s marketing and brand agenda, including consumer propositions, marketing campaigns and network-level strategic projects.

Kartik Mahadev, who has been part of Zee’s marketing function, will move into another role within the organisation. Details of his new mandate are yet to be announced.

Ashish joins Zee with more than two decades of experience spanning marketing, brand strategy, consumer marketing, business growth, digital transformation and go-to-market functions.

Before joining Zee, Ashish served as Chief Marketing Officer at ACKO, where he led marketing, brand building, customer acquisition and growth strategy. Prior to ACKO, he spent nearly 14 years with HSBC, working across India, Dubai and London in roles including Product Marketing Head and Regional Marketing Lead.

During his tenure with HSBC, Ashish handled marketing mandates across the UAE, Oman, Egypt, Bahrain and Qatar, covering areas including brand, cards, retail banking, wealth and customer growth.

His appointment at Zee marks the latest chapter in a career spanning agency, banking, insurance and media-led marketing, bringing together his experience across brand building, consumer growth and digital transformation.
