K L Sharma, Executive Director (Commercial), Airport Authority of India, spoke on ‘What makes airport advertising fly high’ at the 1st Transit Media Talks organized in Mumbai on 28TH February. He began his session with a rich history of the aviation sector supported by data to highlight the importance of airport as an attractive destination for advertising. Sharma highlighted that airport advertising brings together captive audiences together at one place and offers the best ambience to engage them.
He also highlighted that airport is the only advertising avenue which offers measurability of the consumer profile, tracked via sales of tickets. Airport advertising helps brands target the captive audience directly without any obstacles, Sharma said. He presented various innovative static, digital and on-ground advertising opportunities available at the airport and invited more media vendors to participate in the tender through this knowledge sharing platform.
