‘OOH can spur social entrepreneurship in a big way’

Pratap Hegde, CMD, telematics4u services in his presentation on the theme of ‘How social entrepreneurship adds new dimensions to OOH’ at OAC 2017 — held in Mumbai during July 28-29 – threw light on how digital technologies have been used to drive advertising on autorickshaws, powered by a strong social cause.
Under the ACE initiative led by telematics4u, the digital LED panels fitted on the autorickshaws are connected by GPS, enabling the monitoring of the vehicles, ad displays, etc. The revenues generated through brand advertising on this media are channelled to the family members of the auto drivers.
The proprietary tool HILT is what enables this venture.
