Cleartrip takes travel deals to the streets with ‘Chhutti Ka Thela’

The travel platform brings the familiar Indian street vendor format to Gurugram’s Cyber Hub, turning holiday packages into an interactive out-of-home experience.

Cleartrip has brought the idea of buying a holiday to the streets with its ‘Chhutti Ka Thela’ activation at Cyber Hub, Gurugram, using the familiar Indian street cart as the centrepiece of an out-of-home campaign.

Borrowing from the everyday experience of buying vegetables from a thela, the activation invites passers-by to imagine picking up a holiday just as casually. Instead of aloo, pyaj and gobhi, the cart offers travel deals to destinations including Goa, the Maldives, Phuket and London, along with five-star stays.

The execution takes Cleartrip’s Big Billion Days campaign beyond digital platforms and into a high-footfall public space, using a recognisable cultural format to make travel offers more tangible and approachable. Its conversational premise — asking for a destination as one might order vegetables — gives the activation a playful twist designed to catch attention and spark curiosity.

Located at Cyber Hub, the installation encourages people to stop, engage with the setup and capture the moment on their phones. By combining travel offers with an unexpected street-level format, Cleartrip uses OOH not just to communicate discounts but to create an experience around the campaign.

The activation is part of Cleartrip’s Big Billion Days push, which carries the message ‘Ab pura India hoga phurrrr!’
