Karnataka Tourism takes “Year of the Wild” campaign to IGIA’s T3

TIMDAA has executed the one-year campaign at Terminal 3 that started in end-April

 State Tourism Department, Karnataka had declared 2017 as the ‘Year of the Wild’ to promote wild life in the state. There are 27 wild life sanctuaries and 5 National Parks located in the state that attract tourists in large numbers. The tourism department launched an integrated campaign to drive the promotion. TIMDAA has executed the campaign at Terminal 3 (T3) of Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA).

Commenting on the tourism promotion, Priyank Kharge, Minister for IT, BT and Tourism, Government of Karnataka, had said: “Our objective in declaring 2017 as the Year of the Wild is not limited to wildlife alone. With our unique geographical features, Karnataka provides adventure lovers with every kind of terrain probably, except snow-clad mountains. We have initiated adventure activities like aero sports -sky diving in Mysore, motorcycle tourism in Hampi etc. All these activities will help you discover the adventure side of Karnataka and yours as well. And we welcome you all to experience the many wonders that await you here. The Karnataka Government has also established the Karnataka Eco-Tourism Development Board to help the government in protecting wildlife, creating awareness about it, encouraging eco-tourism etc. Along with the Eco-Tourism Board and Jungle Lodges and Resorts , Eco-Tourism Zones are being identified with a chain of nature camps and eco-trails to provide best experience of the Wild.”

With reference to the airport campaign, Rohit Chopra, CEO, TIMDAA, said, “The Karnataka Tourism campaign brings with it immense opportunity for people to explore the abundance of natural beauty in the state. It is a campaign that increases the value and stature of the airport in terms of the perspective it provides to tourism within India.”
