BOSCH takes its Onam celebration to the backwaters

Bosch, in collaboration with Brand Street Integrated Consultancy Network, took its festive presence onto Kerala’s backwaters and turned traditional boats into moving brand showcases.

Onam in Kerala is a feeling that takes over every street, home, and waterway. And this year, Bosch decided to be part of that feeling instead of just watching it from the sidelines.

Traditional Kerala boats, the kind that have carried people through the backwaters for generations, got a festive makeover. Each boat was decked out in bright marigold garlands, painted in Bosch’s signature orange-red palette, and topped with a “Make the Bosch Move” showcase, which was hard to miss.

Instead of simply placing the Bosch logo on the boats, the campaign gave them a complete brand twist, transforming them into moving Bosch showcases. By choosing a cultural experience that was already synonymous with Onam, Bosch found a natural way to engage with the occasion while creating a different outdoor presence.

This campaign by Bosch shows how outdoor advertising can move beyond fixed formats. A boat may not be a conventional billboard, but in the right setting, it can become a highly visible and memorable brand canvas.
