Hocco brings its East India debut to Kolkata streets with a pujo-themed campaign
To give the campaign a local feel and connect with people during Pujo, the brand used regional-language hoardings in Bengali.
In Kolkata, Pujo means pandal hopping, endless adda, and plenty of reasons to celebrate. But what if your favourite ice cream brand joined the party too?

That’s exactly what Hocco did as it entered East India, taking its campaign to Kolkata’s streets, neighbourhoods and Durga Puja pandals. With local messages, festive-themed installations and outdoor displays, the brand made its debut part of the city’s biggest celebration.
The campaign included a Chill Zone for devotees waiting in long queues and Toto rides at the Ballygunge Cultural Association Durga Puja pandal. These activities added a touch of comfort and fun to the festive experience.

Hocco also used regional-languages hoardings to connect with local audiences. The installation featured the line “Pujo Jome Galo, Hocco’r Saathe,” which means “The Pujo celebrations became more fun with Hocco.” Roadside hoardings carried another local message, “Adda Jome Galo, Hocco’r Saathe,” meaning “Conversations and hangouts became more fun with Hocco.” These messages connected the brand with familiar Bengali traditions.

The campaign extended to LED screens across pandals and key locations, along with branded flyover pillars. Through these outdoor placements, Hocco built visibility across Kolkata during the festive season.
By the time Pujo celebrations picked up, Hocco had found its place on Kolkata’s streets, from the pandals to the everyday adda spots.
