Sun Sign & Technologies introduces Starflex PVC free media

This material has been rolled out in the Indian market for testing to check its application and sustainability, with particular focus on the Raipur market where the state government has called for a ban on PVC flex

Sun Sign & Technologies, a procurement partner of Starflex India, is now supplying an eco-friendly PVC free media i.e. PE Banner made by the latter to Indian large format printing industry. The company describes the newly developed alternative as light weight, recyclable and friendly to the environment polyethylene substrate. Available in up to 5 metres and 50 metres length, PE banner is convenient to install on hoardings wherein it comes in the same thickness and costing like a regular PVC banner, states the company.

This material has been rolled out in the Indian market for testing to check its application and sustainability. “We have shared this material in Raipur for testing where the government has pushed put for complete ban on the use of PVC,” said Deepak Gupta, Director, Sun Sign & Technologies.

Demand for eco-friendly substrate is yet to pick up in the market. “To accelerate the demand for PE banner in India, the awareness has to be created amongst the brand markets as they are yet not aware of such material and the associated benefits,” said Deepak.
