OAC 2013: It's time to go high on tech

Allan Hill, Founder and CEO, ODEX, highlighted the need for the Indian OOH industry to embrace new technology which would pave the way for faster and cost effective growth.

Day II of OAC 2013 saw an interesting presentation by Allan Hill, ODEX, in which the focus was all on the immediate need for the Indian OOH industry to adopt newer technologies. Speaking on'Establishing Baseline Technology for the Indian D /OOH sectors', Allan cited some global ad spend shares and pointed to the decreasing share of TV and print and the increasing share of Internet in the overall media spends and highlighted the need for OOH media companies to go bigger on the internet and other new digital mediums.
 
He then proceeded to list out some basic tips to these companies that included: Registering   a domain name, acquiring and using the latest productivity tools, having clearly designated  market areas, standardizing information online and standardizing terms.   
As technology strategist, founder and CEO of ODEX,  Allan's experience has been focused on the media and advertising sectors. Owner of multiple successful business and holding board positions in India, UAE and South Africa, he has extensive exposure and understanding to the prolific growth of new media.
