Dr Amit Kumar Jain, Director (Ops & Services), Delhi Metro to address OAC 2023

Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) runs one of world’s largest metro rail networks, with 391 km network length across 12 lines and having 286 stations. The daily ridership on the DMRC network stood at about 5.5 million in May 2023 and is expected to see higher ridership month-on-month. This expansive metro rail network and high ridership make DMRC stations, trains, and pillars attractive destinations for media investments and advertising.

Dr Amit Kumar Jain is the Director (Operations & Services), DMRC will be speaking on the compelling advertising opportunities and the avenues for OOH industry, in his address on the theme of ‘How a growing DMRC network is creating greater advertising opportunities’ at the Outdoor Advertising Convention 2023 that will be organised at the Manekshaw Centre, Delhi on July 28-29.

Dr Jain will be join a power-packed panel of speakers who will be addressing OAC 2023 over the two days.

Dr Jain, an Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS) officer of the year 2000 batch, has over two decades of experience in numerous key leadership positions. Before taking up this role, he worked as General Manager, Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).

Earlier he had also worked as the Head of Operations for the Delhi Division of Railways and as Director Railway Board. Dr Jain worked with DMRC from 2009 to 2015 as Deputy Head of the Department of Operations and Maintenance as well as Principal, Training School.

He has done his Ph.D. in Urban Transportation from SPA, Delhi, M.Tech from IIT Delhi, and B.E in Civil Engg from IIT Roorkee. He is a gold medallist from IIT Roorkee.

Dr Jain has authored books titled ‘Excellence in Metro Operations and Management - Best Practices world over, ‘Exploring Life@2050” and ‘Intelligent Transportation Systems’. He is a regular contributor to newspaper columns and journals.

He has also developed a digital transformation strategy for Iranian Railways as a Rail Digitalisation expert with UNESCAP. He is on the Government of India's ‘National Pool of Trainers on Leadership’. He is a visiting faculty to various institutes including LBSNAA-Mussoorie, TERI, IIT Mumbai, IEG, NAIR, IRITM, SPA Delhi, and IUT Delhi.
