Vizag Corporation & Transport invites bids for public toilets & BRT BQSs

The public utility tender will be treated under PPP model and BQS tender under revenue sharing model.

Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC), Government of Andhra Pradesh, invites’Request for Proposal’ for the development of Pay & Use Public Toilets for 17 locations in Visakhapatnam through the Public Private Partnership mode for minimum authorization lease period. This project will include Development, Operation, and Maintenance of the Public Toilets.

The Concessionaire entitled with rights shall have the exclusive right, license to Develop/Install Permanent Public Toilet Units (PTUs) and Bio-Toilets and Operation management and maintenance for the Concession Period. The Source of revenue to recoup investments shall be determined tariff as per CDMA guidelines and displaying Advertisements at proposed units. Also, the concessionaire shall prepare a Project Report with design specification and pursuant to its approval, complete the project development of Public Toilet Units, within the stipulated Implementation Period of 3 months.

The bidders are required to meet the minimum threshold Technical Qualification Conditions and qualify for undertaking the project as set out by the municipal. The qualification assessment would be carried out as part of the current bidding and evaluation process. The financial proposals of only those bidders that possess the minimum Technical Qualification Conditions would be opened and evaluated.

The pre-bid meeting will be held on March, 11 2014 and the due date of receipts of bid is March 21, 2014. The bid will open on the same.

Visakhapatnam Urban Transport Company Limited (VUTCL) invites for displaying of advertisement on newly constructed BRTS BUS Queues shelters under Revenue sharing model for 3 years in Visakhapatnam City. The tender includes bidding for 70 BQSs.

The scope of work for the selected bidder will include for display of advertisements on the new constructed /under construction BRTS Bus Queue Shelters (BQS). Out of the figure 70 BQSs, 43 are already constructed and the remaining 27 shelters shall be constructed by March 2014. There will b two months from the date of handing over of site(s). No advertisement will be permitted during the construction period.

However, the license fee per months for BQS shall be charged only for the BQSs which are handed over to the Successful Bidder in writing by the VUTCL. The Bidder shall be required to display and maintain the Advertisement boards on BRTS BQS as per the best industry practices and performance standards during the Authorization Period.

The applications should reach the municipal corporation office by 17-3-2014 and the bids will open on the same day 4.00 pm
