Greater Chennai Corporation exploring ways to boost ad revenues
The civic body is reportedly looking to amend the Chennai City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Act

The Greater Chennai Corporation is reportedly stepping up the efforts to shore up its revenues from multiple sources, with outdoor advertising being one of them. The Hindu has reported that the civic body is looking to amend the Chennai City Municipal Corporation (CCMC) Act that will also allow for seamless regulation of outdoor advertising in the city.
Vishnu Mahajan, Deputy Commissioner of Revenue and Finance, Greater Chennai Corporation was quoted stating that the amendment will pave the way for enhanced and regulated outdoor advertising in the city.
The corporation is also planning for various PPP projects that augment the city infrastructure and public amenities.
