UK’s outdoor media infra owner Wildstone acquires key portfolio of OOH assets from Forrest Group in Scotland
The sites include large-format digital panels in Scotland let long term to Ocean Outdoor and a further portfolio let to Clear Channel Outdoor.
Wildstone Capital, a fast growing owner of outdoor media infrastructure in Europe, has acquired a significant portfolio of high-quality advertising sites from Scottish based company Forrest Group. Representing the largest privately owned portfolio of OOH assets in the UK, these sites include the very best large-format digital panels in Scotland let long term to Ocean Outdoor and a further portfolio let to Clear Channel Outdoor.
This strategically key acquisition is part of Wildstone’s ongoing European expansion which has grown exponentially over the last 3 years. This transaction follows another big-money deal from earlier this year, where Wildstone acquired Dutch digital company Power Tower.
Jonathan Chandler, Managing Director of Wildstone, explained: “Working with Chris and the Forrest team on this acquisition has been an absolute pleasure. He has established a fantastic portfolio and we are delighted to be the new guardians of these landmark sites.”
Chris Trainer, CEO of Forrest Group and well-known figure in Out of home said: “The disposal of a significant part of our media portfolio following an attractive offer from Wildstone makes commercial sense at this time. It further enhances our ability to take advantage of opportunities that will no doubt emerge in the developing economic climate.”
