Pioneer acquires semi-naming rights of Sikanderpur Metro Station

Leading OOH player, Pioneer Outdoor Advertising, has acquired the semi-naming rights of Sikanderpur Metro Station of DMRC’s Yellow Line. Pioneer is yet to close the deal with any brand and disclose it to the media. Last year, Pioneer acquired  semi naming rights two more stations in Gurgaon i.e. MG Road Station and Dronacharya Station from DMRC for 10 years.

MG Road Station has been sold out to Syska LED and Dronacharya station to Indigo Airlines.  Deepak Vasudeva of Pioneer Outdoor Advertising, said, “We are still in the process of finalising it with some of the interested brands. The concept is well accepted and we have received lot of queries from all possible brands. It’s a win-win scenario for DMRC as well as any brand being part of naming of metro stations.

Rapid metro in Gurgaon started this concept and then followed by DMRC. This is a new concept with multiple innovative formats used for branding at one station including neons, backlit pillars, canopy, brand name with the station name and inside backlit signages as well.  Indigo has used branding techniques like calling one spot of Dronacharya station as “Indigo terminal. Similarly, Syska has used the branding opportunity to showcase their products at MG Road station.

“As of now we have used neon, backlit pillars, backlit signages at the mentioned two stations. We are planning to install few LED screens inside the stations in the beginning of March 2016, Vasudeva informed. Approx. 5000 sq ft area for inside signages and some more other formats such as roof and floor branding along with semi naming right branding on outside the station have been used.
