Govt spent over Rs 530 cr in 4 yrs on outdoor publicity: Reports
The advertising was mainly directed at giving publicity to the government’s development programmes
Media reports state that a response from the Bureau of Outreach Communication to an RTI query raised by an RTI activist on Government of India spends on advertising its programmes across media platforms indicates that a sum of Rs 531.24 crore was spent on outdoor publicity in the period June 2014 to January 2018.
The outdoor publicity covered posters, banners, digital panels, hoardings, railway ticket branding, etc., states a Zee Business report.
