EG Communications has bagged the rights to wrap DMRC Metro carriages on three lines for a period 10 years through an open tendering process
EG Communications has bagged the rights to wrap of DMRC Metro carriages on three lines for a period 10 years through an open tendering process. The lines being Line-2 (Jahangir Puri to Huda City Centre), Line-3 (Dwarka to Noida City Centre) and Line 4 (Yamuna Bank to Vaishali).
However as per tender, only 10 per cent of the exterior of each train can be wrapped for advertising.
According to the DMRC data, Line 2 covers 44.94 km, Line 3 covers 49.94 km and Line 4 covers 8.74 km and the network comprises six operational lines with a ridership of around 2.7 million commuters per day. The media owner will be using high-quality vinyl for wraps.
“This branding option was suggested by various media owners and now we have managed to bag the rights. This is not just a train wrap but we consider this as the longest moving billboard covering approx.. 6,500 sq. ft. Both lines are the busiest metro tracks so it will be a great opportunity for brands to tap a large audience, said Praveen Gupta, Director, EG communications.
The wrap will begin from mid-October this year.
