No threat to billboards in Ranchi market
Leading media owners in the city deny rumours of intimation given by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation to remove billboards
Recent rumours that the OOH industry in Ranchi was under threat have been found to be baseless. According to sources, the Ranchi market was expected to lose billboards, specifically based on the recommendation given by the local corporation consultant. However, when Media4Growth probed into that matter, it was found out that there was absolutely no threat to the format in the market and that the market was running smoothly. There has reportedly been no communication from the Ranchi Municipal Corporation, whatsoever, to the media owning fraternity regarding any moves to remove hoardings, even if they were being considered internally by the body.
In fact, regional leading media owners in the city shared that there was no tussle with the local corporation over tax, license fee, illegal media or any other matter and it appears that both parties are working cordially.
