Indore OOH upset over mandate to run Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign free of cost
The local body is using outdoor media in the city for displaying the government’s achievements with regard to the flagship programme free of cost; all that is offered to the respective media owners is an extension of the tender duration
Media owning firms in Indore are seemingly at the receiving end of the local municipal body’s move to take forward the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan. The local body is using outdoor media in the city for displaying the government’s achievements with regard to the flagship programme without paying anything to the concerned media owners. All that is offered to the respective media owners is an extension of the tender duration as per the number of days that the Swacch Bharat Abhiyaan has run.
A city based media owner told Media4Growth that the media owning fraternity is frustrated by this government move. “An extension of tender duration by 15 days to 1 month won’t help us. Instead this is causing us significant monetary losses.”
