I&B Ministry to shortly release new guidelines for govt outdoor publicity
Sources indicate that the guidelines will be released in just a few days from now
It is reliably learnt that Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B), Government of India, having revised the ad rates for print media by 25% over and above the existing rate structure for advertisement in print media by the Bureau of Outreach and Communication, is now set to release a new set of policy guidelines for the Union government’s outdoor media publicity.
Sources indicate that the guidelines will be released in just a few days from now. While the guidelines may not specify a standard rate for outdoor advertising, unlike for print, TV and the like, the objective will be to streamline standard practices with regard to payment release and other processes with regard to outdoor advertising contracts.
Pertinent to note that the I&B Ministry has also raised the ad rates for private TV channels, at an average 11% over the 2017 rates.
