Hyderabad hoardings back in business, special guidelines to be followed
Only display advertisements on wall mounted and ground hoardings of up to size 40ft x 25ft and roof tops limited to size of 30ft x 25ft have been permitted by the civic body.
The ban imposed on hoarding displays by the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) due to severe weather conditions has been removed by the authority. After a comprehensive discussion between the civic body and the media owner fraternity, the former allowed for the displays with certain pre-conditions and failure to adhere to those will attract strict action.
The GHMC commissioner considered the request of media owners and permitted all the agencies to display advertisements on wall mounted and ground hoardings of up to size 40ft x 25ft and roof tops limited to size of 30ft x 25ft.
The GHMC commissioner instructed the media owners to follow the mandate of display of single flex, submission of undertaking individually by all them for safety measures, installation of stay wires for all the hoardings to provide support to the structure from the building and no display of advertisements on old buildings.
