DMRC to introduce PSDs on Line 3, more DOOH opportunities on anvil
DMRC has planned for Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) with digital display panels at a few stations on this stretch which will be available for commercial advertising as well. Each PSD will be of 17.3 meters height and have 64 LCD panels.
With Line 3 of Delhi Metro at the threshold of becoming operational in south Delhi, DMRC has planned for Platform Screen Doors (PSDs) with digital display panels at a few stations on this stretch which will be available for commercial advertising as well. Each PSD will be of 17.3 meters height and have 64 LCD panels. Currently, PSDs are available only on the Airport Express line of DMRC. Stations like Kalkaji, Okhla, Sukhdev Vihar, and Jamia Millia Islamia will be amongst the second batch of stations where PSDs will be installed.
DMRC, while introducing smart signaling and smart trains to increase passenger comfort and frequency of trains, will have the new coaches fitted with four LCD screens each to provide audio-visual information of Metro rail services along with commercials. These driverless trains will be equipped with facilities like wi-fi, CCTV, etc., to enhance safety, security and efficiency standards of Metro service. DMRC had recently invited bids for JV or consortium for grant of exclusive advertising rights inside select Metro stations of Lines 3 and 4 to design, procure/manufacture, install, manage, operate, market and sell various advertising spaces.
