OAC launches Airport Media Report 2025

Day 2 of the Out of Home (OOH) Advertising Convention (OAC) 2025, kicked off on an insightful and engaging start. A highlight of the day was the unveiling of the Airport Media Report presented by OAC and powered by Times OOH. The report maps advertising opportunities and scope for innovation in the airport media space. 

The report was released by Shekhar Narayanaswami, CEO of Times Innovative Media, Rohit Chopra, COO of Times OOH, Vasant Jante, Founder & CEO of OAC, and Rajiv Raghunath, Business Adviser of VJ Media Works.

This study examines the growing significance of airport in India’s wider OOH advertising landscape. Commenting on the significance of the report for the OOH industry, Rajiv highlighted, “OOH is not just a media channel, but a planetary system. Each planet moves in its own orbit, having its own dynamics. We picked out Airport Media from the OOH planetary system and did some research on the audience size and profile, factors governing media ownership, and agency perspectives around this medium.”  

The report revolves around a wide range of areas, including airport audience, media ownership, regulations & concessions, agency outlook, size of business and media operations.

The report stemmed from the fact that airport media has emerged as a powerful avenue, offering brands the opportunity to engage with premium, high-spending audiences. 

The study combines both primary and secondary research and involved in-depth review of industry reports, market publications, and media articles to build a solid understanding of the current airport media landscape. Alongside this, a primary survey was conducted involving two key stakeholder groups: airport media operators and national specialist media agencies, who . provided insights into brand behaviour, audience profiles, preferred formats, demand patterns, and the key factors influencing airport advertising deals.
