FMCG brands have made a highly visible presence on the OOH landscape in recent months, ushering in perhaps a new wave of FMCG advertising in the OOH space. However, the moot point is, does OOH figure high in an FMCG brand’s brand building strategy. Is OOH only a reminder medium for FMCG brands, or can it serve as a principal medium for product launches and promotions? What kind of format innovations or creative innovations will make OOH all more relevant to FMCG brands?

G K Suresh, Vice President – Marketing, Foods Business of ITC Ltd, will talk about these and other related issues in his address on the theme “How best can FMCG brands tap OOH to reinforce consumer connect across markets? at the upcoming Outdoor Advertising Convention (OAC) 2016 at Hyatt Regency, Gurgaon, during June 17-18.

Suresh will also anchor the popular contest for young creative professionals called YOC which will be held at the OAC venue. YOC 2016 is open to creative professionals below 30 years who are working with creative agencies. The Contest will be held over 2 days – June 17-18.

Suresh in his current role looks after categories of staples, biscuits, snacks, confectionery and ready-to-eat products. He has worked in a variety of roles from sales to trade marketing to brand management.

In his prior assignment, he was Head – Brands and Business Development with the Personal Care business where he oversaw the launches of brands like Fiama Di Wills, Vivel and Vivel Active Fair.

Suresh is an electrical & electronics engineer from BITS Pilani and an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi.
