The Kalyan-Dombivli Municipal Corporation’s transport undertaking, Kalyan Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (KDMT), has invited e-tenders for granting advertising rights across 411 buses for a period of five years, with a provision for a further two-year extension. The advertising rights cover designated spaces on the buses, including portions of the bus body, areas behind passenger seats and handrails.

The fleet includes multiple bus formats, ranging from Ashok Leyland and Tata standard and midi buses to Volvo premium buses, along with PM e-Bus Yojana electric buses. The tender covers 95 standard electric buses and 205 midi electric buses, alongside the existing conventional fleet. KDMT has also retained the right to increase or decrease the number of buses available for advertising during the contract period.

The tender provides an estimated total advertising area of approximately 120,520.5 sq. inches across the fleet. Advertisers can use designated portions of the bus exterior, excluding areas such as windows, logos, passenger information, registration plates and other specified sections. Advertisements that could adversely affect the visibility of drivers or passengers, or distract motorists, will not be permitted. The successful contractor will also be responsible for the display and upkeep of advertising, including repainting and maintenance where required.

For eligibility, bidders are required to have at least five years of experience in advertising on public transport or similar government/public-sector properties. The tender also specifies an average annual turnover of at least ₹12 crore over the preceding three years, a minimum net worth of ₹1 crore, and a bank solvency certificate of ₹55 lakh.

The tender document carries a fee of ₹29,500, while the EMD is ₹5.30 lakh. The pre-bid meeting is scheduled for October 9, 2026, with online submissions open until October 22, 2026. The tender is being processed through Maharashtra’s e-tendering portal, and the technical bids are scheduled to be opened on October 26, 2026, subject to the tender conditions.
