UPMRC invites bids for semi-naming rights of 10 Lucknow Metro stations

The Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (UPMRC) has invited open e-tenders for the licensing of semi-naming rights of 10 Metro stations on the North-South Corridor of the Lucknow Metro Rail Project. The tender, numbered LKAR-12, was issued in September 2026. 

The stations covered under the tender are Husainganj, Sachivalaya, Hazratganj, KD Singh Stadium, Vishwavidyalaya, IT College, Badshahnagar, Lekhraj, Indira Nagar and Munshipulia. Bidders can participate for the semi-naming rights of one or multiple stations, with the financial evaluation and award being carried out on a station-wise basis. 

Under the proposed arrangement, the selected bidder will be permitted to prefix or suffix its brand name to the existing Metro station name, subject to UPMRC’s approval. The semi-naming scope also allows branding and aesthetic treatment of the station’s exterior, including the use of brand colours, façade treatment, vinyl pasting, special lighting and landscaping, subject to approval. The branding and semi-naming plan will have to comply with applicable outdoor advertising policies and other relevant regulations. 

The reserve Minimum Annual Guarantee (MAG) has been set at ₹20.11 lakh per station. Financial bids will be evaluated station-wise, with the bidder quoting the highest MAG for a respective station eligible for award, subject to fulfilment of the tender conditions. 

The licence period is three years from the scheduled commencement of the licence fee. The agreement can subsequently be extended for two further periods of three years each, subject to successful completion of the preceding term, UPMRC’s satisfaction and mutually agreeable terms. There is also a two-year lock-in period for both UPMRC and the concessionaire. 

The tender carries a bid document fee of ₹5,900, inclusive of 18% GST, while the bid security is ₹1.30 lakh for each station a bidder is interested in. Accordingly, bidders seeking rights for multiple stations will have to submit bid security on a per-station basis. 

For technical qualification, bidders are required to have an average annual turnover of at least ₹19.21 lakh per station over the last three financial years, FY 2023-24, FY 2024-25 and FY 2025-26. For bidders participating for multiple stations, the turnover requirement is calculated cumulatively according to the number of stations bid for. 

The tender documents are available through the Central Public Procurement Portal from 9 September 2026 to 22 October 2026, with tender submissions scheduled from 12 October 2026 to 22 October 2026. The bids are scheduled to be opened on 23 October 2026. 

The tender is intended to augment UPMRC’s non-operational revenue through advertising while positioning Lucknow Metro as an advertising destination and enabling branded interventions that complement the aesthetics of the Metro stations.
