Italian startup Sunspeker transforms solar panels into OOH advertising media
Sunspeker has developed recyclable, customisable graphic covers for solar panels

Turin-based smart and sustainable OOH solutions company Sunspeaker has recently introduced an advertising media that can be mounted on solar panels. The Italian innovation company has been named in the ‘Top 8 Green Energy startups’ in the country for its ‘See Beyond’ technology that can be used to create a fully recyclable customisable graphic cover that makes every solar panel a potential advertising space.
In a media report, Sunspeker has maintained that its patented technology is now being trialled in pilot projects and the company is seeking more funding before a market launch.
Sunspeker posits that the stickers can replicate high-definition images while remaining permeable to light. The modules reportedly retain 80%-90% of their efficiency. Sunspeaker CEO Fabrizio Chiara has been quoted in a media report as saying “The loss in power yield can be compensated by the gains coming from ad campaigns.”
